Drishti — a student tech organization I founded in 2002, still thriving today.

A technical organization at NIT Surat for hands-on robotics, electronics and innovation — founded 2002, run by students across batches 20+ years on.

Founded Drishti in 2002 as a student at NIT Surat — now a self-sustaining organization run by students across successive batches, 20+ years on.

The problem

Engineering students learn theory but rarely get to build — to fail, iterate and ship real hardware as a team.

What I built

I founded Drishti in 2002 at NIT Surat — a technical organization that gives students a real-time, hands-on opportunity to build: robotics for ABU Robocon, the Indian Rover Challenge, Boeing aeromodelling, computer-vision / ML projects, exoskeletons, and a steady stream of workshops and seminars.

The outcome

Still thriving 20+ years later, run by students across successive batches, competing nationally and internationally. A self-sustaining institution now.

Why it works

The best thing you can build is something that outlives you. Drishti has run on its own for two decades, encouraging curious minds to build hands-on, as a team.

How it works

What Drishti builds.

Drishti — robotics, rover, aero, CV/ML, exoskeletons and workshops, around a 20-year-old idea.
Still thriving

The team today.
