The world's first pay-per-use IoT water purifier.
GPRS-connected purification metered by the litre — turning a hardware sale into a service, piloted for small offices and startups.
Conceived and led the world's first GPRS pay-per-use IoT purifier, with real-time metering and credit-based billing, piloted for small offices and startups.
The problem
Small offices and startups wanted clean water without the capex of buying and maintaining purifiers.
What I built
A GPRS-connected purifier that meters water in real time and bills on a credit / pay-per-use basis — no upfront purchase. Piloted with a Eureka Forbes sister concern for small offices and startups.
The outcome
A connected-device business model years ahead of its time — water as a metered service, validated in pilots.
Why it works
Years before hardware subscriptions were common, this proved the model. Customers paid only for the water they used.
